        Echol E. (Bud) Cook of Scottsboro, AL is the 34-I District Governor.  He is a retired Army General Officer and is also a retired Professor and Associate Dean of Engineering at Southern Illinois University.  He was the first holder of the George B. Berry Endowed Chair of Environmental Engineering at West Virginia University and he is the author of over 50 journal articles and conference proceedings.

<>        A member of the Scottsboro Lions Club since 1999 he has served as VP and President of that club as well as Zone Chairman and Vice District Governor. 

<>          In addition to his Lion activities, DG Cook is active in numerous community organizations.  He has been Chairman of the Jackson County Leadership Program, Jackson County Charitable Trust and also heads up the Scottsboro First United Methodist Church Food Bank.  He serves as a member of the Scottsboro Power Board. 

          DG Cook and his wife Kathy have two daughters and four grandchildren.
